RX-93 V Gundam

– The Mobile Suit
This is another iconic Gundam from the Universal Century, known for its distinctive and unique design. One of its most recognizable features is the Fin Funnels mounted on its back. These Fin Funnels function as remote beam weapons that can attack enemy Mobile Suits independently. However, to use them effectively, the pilot must be a Newtype, since controlling Fin Funnels requires advanced spatial awareness and mental coordination.
In addition to their offensive power, the Fin Funnels can also generate a powerful beam barrier, allowing the Gundam to defend against incoming attacks. Because of this versatility and overwhelming capability, this Gundam is considered one of the most impressive machines in the entire Gundam universe.
– Armaments
- 60mm Vulcan Guns (mounted on the head)
- Beam Sabers ×2 (stored on the backpack; also mounted on the arms)

MSZ-006 Zeta Gundam

– The Mobile Suit
Zeta Gundam is a Gundam that stands out and draws attention mainly because it can transform from its standard Mobile Suit mode into a flight mode, or what can basically be called a Jet Fighter (the writer will call it that because it looks very similar). For this reason, the Zeta Gundam is one of the most memorable Mobile Suits in the Gundam anime.
Another thing the Zeta Gundam can do (which some people may not know) is generate energy into a massive sword and strike down enemies in an instant—a very terrifying and effective special move. (This move is called the Hyper Beam Saber.)
– Weapons
- MU-86G 60mm Vulcan Gun (mounted on the head)
- 2-tube Grenade Launcher (located at the end of both forearms)
- Anchor Wire (the writer chooses to call it a “grappling gun”) (also located at the end of both forearms)
- A.E.BlASH XB-G-35/Du.105 Beam Saber (one stored in the forearm and another at the waist)
- XBR-M87A2 Beam Rifle

- This Gundam is highly distinctive because it can transform into a flight mode, and it also possesses fearsome weaponry capable of overpowering enemy Mobile Suits. Overall, it excels in multiple aspects on the battlefield.
Disadvantages:
- (None)
RX-160S Byarlant Custom

– The Mobile Suit
This is a medium-sized Mobile Suit that comes fully equipped with a complete set of weapons. To put it simply, it is quite an intimidating Mobile Suit.
(From the writer’s perspective, after seeing its size in the anime, I personally think—shouldn’t this one be called a Mobile Armor instead?)
– Weapons
- Mega Particle Cannon (on both arms)
- Beam Saber (on both arms, located in the same spot as the first weapon)
- Claw Arm (on both hands)
– Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages:
- Due to its size, this Mobile Suit gains a major advantage over smaller enemy Mobile Suits, often overpowering and destroying them completely. (In other words, a larger machine naturally has advantages in both body size and the durability of its armor.)

Disadvantages:
- None.
MSA-003 Nemo ( Zeta VER )

– The Mobile Suit
The Nemo is an upgraded Mobile Suit derived from the GM II and GM Sniper II. The existence of such upgraded models demonstrates that not all mass-production mobile suits are inferior to Gundams. Another point worth noting is that in the later eras of the Gundam anime timeline, some mass-production suits actually possess better features and designs than certain Gundam units. In fact, some of their weapons even surpass those used by Gundams. This may be a key indicator explaining why certain mass-production machines stand out more than Gundams in specific situations.
– Armaments
- 60mm Vulcan Gun (mounted on the head)
- Beam Sabers (3 total; 2 mounted on the rear waist, 1 mounted on the arm)
- AE/ZIM.C-BAZ-531 300mm Clay Bazooka

Disadvantages:
- Despite being an upgraded model, it still has limitations in certain environments.
Its deployment is restricted depending on the battlefield since the unit still has room for further upgrades that could enhance its performance in many more situations in the future.
(It can be considered a Mobile Suit that is almost perfect.)

(Meaning: if not carefully controlled, this unit could nearly become a weapon of mass destruction due to its sheer destructive potential.)
Disadvantages:
- No matter how powerful it is, it still has natural weaknesses. The EXAM System has a strict time limit, allowing only about 5 minutes of maximum output. After that, the Mobile Suit will enter Overheat Mode, rendering it completely immobile.
– RGM-79 Powered GM

– The Mobile Suit
This is another Mobile Suit that has undergone an upgrade, resulting in improved performance on the battlefield and in various other combat situations. Thanks to this round of enhancements, the Mobile Suit (which is not a protagonist-type or antagonist-type unit) is now able to demonstrate its capabilities better than ever. The upgrades allow it to wield weapons such as bazookas and powerful laser-based armaments with firepower approaching that of a Gundam.

Advantages:
- As an upgraded model, it boasts excellent combat performance, and its frame can still be further developed into even more advanced units in future production runs.
- This GM is capable of carrying heavy weapons such as a bazooka into battle, marking a turning point in the war that proves:
“Mobile Suits aren’t weak at all—don’t underestimate them!”
Disadvantages:
- Although it is a fairly well-improved model, it still does not reach the pinnacle of performance. Combat always involves numerous threats, and this Mobile Suit lacks sufficient weapon variety. If it encounters an opponent with superior firepower, it can be quickly overwhelmed.
RGM-79N GM Custom

– The Mobile Suit
The GM Custom is a Mobile Suit upgraded from several earlier prototype and production units (including the GM Type C, GM Sniper Custom, and the three prototype units GM Command, GM Command Space Type, and Gundam NT-1). This machine inherits concepts and technology from those predecessors and evolves into the model known as the GM Custom.
Its defining characteristic lies in the English term “Custom”, which indicates that this Mobile Suit can still be further tuned, modified, and equipped with additional weaponry without limitation. In other words, the unit can be adjusted to suit various missions and combat situations depending on what the operator wishes to equip.
– Armaments
- 60mm Vulcan Gun (mounted on the head)

– Advantages and Disadvantages
Advantages:
- As an upgraded Custom-type Mobile Suit, it has been refined with enhanced performance and considerable tuning potential. Because of this, it is one of the units that can be further reinforced and developed into even stronger variants in future model generations.
Disadvantages:
- Despite being a Custom model, its overall performance still does not reach the level of high-end combat units like the Gundam series. The frame and armament loadout still require further tuning and enhancement.
- The Mobile Suit lacks sufficient weapon diversity and efficiency. Based on in-universe specifications, it would need additional armaments to fully bring out its potential.
(This point reflects the opinion of the website author: after reviewing the specs, the GM Custom appears to be under-armed.)
RGM-79C GM Type C

– The Mobile Suit
The GM Type C is another developed Mobile Suit variant notable for its role as a long-range attack unit (similar to the GM Sniper, GM Sniper II, and GM Sniper III). This unit is equipped with a Sensor Light system—functionally comparable to a night-vision scope used on sniper rifles—which allows it to effectively track and engage enemies from long distances. Because of this, the GM Type C is frequently deployed for anti–long-range Mobile Suit operations and is widely used as a specialized long-distance combat platform.
