The Gundam TR-1 [Advanced Hazel] is another Gundam unit that does not appear in any Gundam anime series. Instead, it appears in video games and in the manga Advance of Zeta: The Flag of Titans. This Mobile Suit features a wide variety of capabilities because it was developed based on its predecessor, the GM Quel, and upgraded into this new form. Its enhancements significantly expand its available weapon loadouts as well.

This Gundam is one of the most remarkable units in its universe, known for its exceptional combat capabilities and battlefield dominance. The key to its overwhelming power lies in a special system that allows the pilot to draw out Newtype-level abilities. This system is called the EXAM System, which enables both the pilot and the Mobile Suit to fight at 100% of their combat potential until the Gundam enters Overheat Mode. In other words, this Gundam comes equipped with an incredibly powerful built-in ability right from the start.

Advantages:
This Gundam is both terrifying and immensely powerful. With the EXAM System activated, combat becomes overwhelmingly one-sided—as if the victor has already been decided. (Meaning: if not carefully controlled, this unit could nearly become a weapon of mass destruction due to its sheer destructive potential.)
Disadvantages:
No matter how powerful it is, it still has natural weaknesses. The EXAM System has a strict time limit, allowing only about 5 minutes of maximum output. After that, the Mobile Suit will enter Overheat Mode, rendering it completely immobile.

This is another Mobile Suit that has undergone an upgrade, resulting in improved performance on the battlefield and in various other combat situations. Thanks to this round of enhancements, the Mobile Suit (which is not a protagonist-type or antagonist-type unit) is now able to demonstrate its capabilities better than ever. The upgrades allow it to wield weapons such as bazookas and powerful laser-based armaments with firepower approaching that of a Gundam.

As an upgraded model, it boasts excellent combat performance, and its frame can still be further developed into even more advanced units in future production runs.

Disadvantages:
Although it is a fairly well-improved model, it still does not reach the pinnacle of performance. Combat always involves numerous threats, and this Mobile Suit lacks sufficient weapon variety. If it encounters an opponent with superior firepower, it can be quickly overwhelmed.

The GM Custom is a Mobile Suit upgraded from several earlier prototype and production units (including the GM Type C, GM Sniper Custom, and the three prototype units GM Command, GM Command Space Type, and Gundam NT-1). This machine inherits concepts and technology from those predecessors and evolves into the model known as the GM Custom.
Its defining characteristic lies in the English term “Custom”, which indicates that this Mobile Suit can still be further tuned, modified, and equipped with additional weaponry without limitation. In other words, the unit can be adjusted to suit various missions and combat situations depending on what the operator wishes to equip.

Advantages:
As an upgraded Custom-type Mobile Suit, it has been refined with enhanced performance and considerable tuning potential. Because of this, it is one of the units that can be further reinforced and developed into even stronger variants in future model generations.
Disadvantages:
Despite being a Custom model, its overall performance still does not reach the level of high-end combat units like the Gundam series. The frame and armament loadout still require further tuning and enhancement.
The Mobile Suit lacks sufficient weapon diversity and efficiency. Based on in-universe specifications, it would need additional armaments to fully bring out its potential. (This point reflects the opinion of the website author: after reviewing the specs, the GM Custom appears to be under-armed.)

The RTX-65 Guntank Early Type is an early Origin-era Mobile Suit designed in a tank-like configuration. It was one of the first units produced to counter both aerial and ground forces.
